Volleyball Recap: Layton Comes Up Short

Layton lost against Sky View back in August of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lancers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The game marked the first time this year in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

While Layton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Abby Thatcher was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Layton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sky View, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Layton has already played their next match (against Payson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sky View also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Delta.
