Volleyball Recap: Douglas Falls to Reno in First Game of Season

Douglas kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Reno Huskies by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Douglas actually scored more points across those five sets (98-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-8.

Looking ahead, Douglas will host McQueen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Reno, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
