Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Mustangs vs. Palo Duro Dons

For the second straight game, Coronado will face off against Palo Duro. Coronado will be playing in front of their home fans against Palo Duro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Coronado's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Palo Duro by a score of 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Coronado saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Lira, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Lira a new career-high.

Coronado's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games.
