Mamaroneck skates past New York School for the Deaf with ease

In what's become a running theme this season, the Mamaroneck Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by New York School for the Deaf on the road to the tune of 51-17. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-6.

New York School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jireth Duque-Vasquez, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Mia Garcia was another key contributor, scoring six points.

The victory (which was Mamaroneck's third in a row) raised their record to 9-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for New York School for the Deaf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Mamaroneck won't have much time to rest: their next match is against New Rochelle at 5:00 p.m. on February 8th. Mamaroneck is coming into the match with three straight wins on the road, meaning New Rochelle will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. New York School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
