Baseball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington's last matchup with Wray could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Cougars lost 9-2 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered against the Eagles since April 16, 2022.

Burlington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erik Cano, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Burlington is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Wray, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Burlington beat the Eagles by a score of 8-2 later that day.
