Sequoyah had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lassiter Trojans. The Chiefs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sequoyah was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-11.

Maria Fisher paced Sequoyah's offense, picking up 11 kills. Fisher got some help from Mackinley Parrott and her 24 assists. Jessica White and Caroline Sanders kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Sequoyah's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Lassiter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Sequoyah will be taking part in a tournament against Tennessee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lassiter, they are taking a road trip to square off against Riverwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
