Hughson waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Ripon Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 on March 11th.

Dominic Aguiar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lawson Aviles, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fisher, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Hughson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ripon only posted an OBP of .364.

Hughson's record is now 13-2. As for Ripon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Hughson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. Hughson is facing Orestimba at the right time seeing as Orestimba is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Ripon, they will head out to challenge Sonora at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
