            Baseball Recap: Crescent City Raiders vs. Warner Christian Academy Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Crescent City had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Warner Christian Academy Eagles 19-8 on Thursday. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.

 Marcus Pates was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Trivauhn Bush was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 Crescent City  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Crescent City's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Warner Christian Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crescent City will challenge Williston at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Williston's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so Crescent City's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Warner Christian Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against First Baptist Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. First Baptist Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2  runs per game  this season.
