The Key West Conchs will venture away from home to square off against the Mater Academy Charter Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Key West is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sports Leadership & Management on Saturday as they made off with a 17-7 win. The Conchs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since February 14th.

Roman Garcia was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kade Maltz, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Key West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted an OBP of .444.

Meanwhile, Mater Academy Charter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 5-1.

Gabriel Granadillo and Vladi Baldepina dominated on the mound. Granadillo pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Baldepina didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Granadillo has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mater Academy Charter's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alfrin Rosario, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Brandon Lorenzo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
