Millard entered their tilt with Duchesne on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Duchesne. That's more bragging rights for Millard, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Millard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-17.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 28 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 46 assists. Bassett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Millard's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Duchesne, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Millard has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against North Summit on the 11th. As for Duchesne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against South Summit on the 11th.
