Basketball Recap: Houston Math Science & Tech Comes Up Short

Houston Math Science & Tech lost against Lamar back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers took a blow against the Lamar Texans, falling 53-13. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Phoenix Sneed was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds for Lamar. Sneed is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Mia Bardawil was another key player, going 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Houston Math Science & Tech and nudges their season record down to 12-8. As for Lamar, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers take on the Bellaire Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lamar, they will face off against Westside at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
