Football Recap: Jellico Comes Up Short

Jellico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Greene Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 24-20 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Jellico's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for North Greene, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

Coming up, Jellico will challenge Unaka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Rangers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Greene, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cloudland at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
