Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Drops Highest Score of Season Against Colton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eisenhower). They blew past the Colton Yellowjackets 11-3 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Viggo Sahagun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Joshua Aguilar was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Eisenhower's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 7-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Eisenhower was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Eisenhower's record now sits at 11-12. As for Colton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Eisenhower wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-1 loss against Grand Terrace on the 7th. As for Colton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Jurupa Hills on the 7th.
