Volleyball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Wins High-Profile Match Against Reagan

Triangle Math & Science faced Reagan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Raiders 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Saturday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Triangle Math & Science got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 20-18.

Leading Triangle Math & Science to victory were Chris Lange and Shankara Dhamodaran. Lange had six digs and two blocks, while Dhamodaran had 18 digs. What's more, Lange racked up 25 assists, the most he's had over his last six games.

Triangle Math & Science's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Reagan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Triangle Math & Science wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Seaforth on the 16th. As for Reagan, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mount Tabor on the 15th.
