Baseball Recap: North Central Comes Up Short

North Central extended their losing streak to 15 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-22. They lost 16-0 to the Chesterfield Golden Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on Monday.

As for Chesterfield, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The result was nothing new for the Golden Rams, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Chesterfield's part, Max Gulledge made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Gulledge has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryce Adams, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Blevins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

As of now, neither North Central nor Chesterfield have any future games scheduled.
