Baseball Recap: Edgewood Find Success

After losing to Pymatuning Valley the last time they met, Edgewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 7-2 on Friday.

Juliana Mokri tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Zane Naylor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Chris Ende was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win got Edgewood back to even at 4-4. As for Pymatuning Valley, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will head out to square off against Struthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pymatuning Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mathews at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
