Preview: Parkwood Wolf Pack vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets
The Parkwood Wolf Pack will be playing at home against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Parkwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
Parkwood pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-56 to Piedmont. Parkwood found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 17 to 8 on offense.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Peyton Collins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games she's played. Kayl Starnes was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Forest Hills entered their tilt with Monroe with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Forest Hills had just enough and edged Monroe out 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Forest Hills has posted yet this season.
Parkwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Forest Hills, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.
Parkwood took their victory against Forest Hills in their previous meeting on January 2nd by a conclusive 63-42. Will Parkwood repeat their success, or does Forest Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
