Basketball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Holly Hill Academy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 win over the Faith Christian Knights on Thursday. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season.

Holly Hill Academy found their leader in sophomore Kloie Mizell, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mizell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Essie Wolpert, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Holly Hill Academy's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Faith Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Holly Hill Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will head out to face off against Cathedral Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
