Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Panthers vs. Canton Central Catholic Crusaders

The Manchester Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Manchester is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Manchester duked it out withCanton South on Wednesday. Manchester was outmatched by Canton South and fell 54-19. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while the Wildcats are ranked 249th).

Meanwhile, Canton Central Catholic came up short against Louisville on Wednesday and fell 38-26. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Canton Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Manchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Manchester came up short against Canton Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 50-44. Can Manchester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
