Baseball Recap: Buckley Comes Up Short

Buckley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Manton Rangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 on Thursday.

Landon Kulawiak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Buckley's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Manton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckley will face off against Bear Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manton, they will square off against Manistee at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
