Basketball Game Preview: Silver Lake Eagles vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws

Silver Lake and Perry-Lecompton are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2017, but not for long. The Eagles will square off against the Kaws at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Silver Lake comes in on four and Perry-Lecompton on three.

Silver Lake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 victory over Sabetha.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Silver Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayne Johnson, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points and seven assists. The contest was Johnson's 25th in a row with at least 15 points. Camden Kruger was another key player, shooting 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Perry-Lecompton and Pleasant Ridge, and Perry-Lecompton kept the tradition alive. The Kaws blew past the Rams, posting a 69-33 win. That 36-point margin sets a new team best for the Kaws this season.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Perry-Lecompton, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
