Basketball Game Preview: Joseph City Wildcats vs. Seligman Antelopes

Joseph City has gone 9-0 against Seligman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Joseph City Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Seligman Antelopes at 7:00 p.m. Joseph City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.

Joseph City is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Williams just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Thursday. The game between them and the Vikings didn't end well, with Joseph City falling 62-48.

Eli James put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaimen Tsosie, who had 13 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seligman). They put the hurt on Music Mountain with a sharp 82-59 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Antelopes who have now won four contests in a row.

Seligman is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Joseph City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Everything came up roses for Joseph City against Seligman when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as the team secured a 91-35 victory. In that game, Joseph City amassed a halftime lead of 50-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
