Coronado and Franklin are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Coronado Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to square off against the Franklin Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coronado's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Coronado faced off against Eastlake on Friday. Coronado came up short against Eastlake, falling 4-0. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Thunderbirds struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They lost 4-0 to Pebble Hills on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coronado came up short against Franklin when the teams last played back in January, falling 4-2. Can Coronado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
