Baseball Game Preview: Selma Bears vs. Immanuel Eagles

The Selma Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Immanuel Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Thursday, Selma came up short against Sanger and fell 4-1. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Selma saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Esparza, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jacob Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Immanuel fell victim to Nipomo and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Selma's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Immanuel, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
