Basketball Recap: Washington Classical Christian Skates Past St. Joseph Academy with Ease

Washington Classical Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They breezed by the St. Joseph Academy Flashes to the tune of 46-12. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Washington Classical Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chloe Krulcik out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Krulcik, who posted 14 points.

Washington Classical Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in five consecutive games.

Washington Classical Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for St. Joseph Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Classical Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Duval Charter at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. St. Joseph Academy has already played their next matchup (against Covenant School of Jacksonville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
