Football Recap: North Tampa Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 39-7, which was the final score in the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans's tilt against the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls on Wednesday.

Wiregrass Ranch found their leader in freshman Brawner Kaitlyn, who threw for 188 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of her passes. Kaitlyn's passing game has become a key predictor of the Bulls' success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 3-5 otherwise. Aixa Barrera got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

North Tampa Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

North Tampa Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will face off against Wharton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulls 14.4, the Wildcats 13.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
