Volleyball Preview: East Lawrence Eagles vs. Rogers Pirates
The East Lawrence Eagles are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Rogers Pirates at 4:00 p.m. East Lawrence will be strutting in after a win while Rogers will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, it was close, but East Lawrence sidestepped Northside for a 2-1 victory.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was East Lawrence who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 16-25, 16-14.
Meanwhile, Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Wilson.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17.
East Lawrence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.
