Softball Game Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos

The Juanita Ravens will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Juanita and nine for Lake Washington dating back to last season.

Juanita lost 9-2 to Skyline on Wednesday.

Juanita saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gwyn Reynolds, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Reynolds hit this season. Stella Vanos was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lake Washington came up short against Skyline on Friday, falling 13-5.

Emery Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Lake Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Juanita, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Juanita took their win against Lake Washington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 20-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
