Softball Recap: Stark County Sets Scoring Season-High Against Abingdon/Avon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stark County). Everything went their way against the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rebels with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Cambri Holmstrom, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kenna Newton, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Stark County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Abingdon/Avon only posted an OBP of .211.

Stark County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
