Basketball Recap: Rangely Piles Up the Points Against Intermountain Christian

It was a proper cat-fight when Rangely duked it out withIntermountain Christian on Saturday. The Rangely Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Intermountain Christian Lions 64-28. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Miah Wren was a one-woman wrecking crew for Rangely as she went 12 of 19 en route to 33 points and six steals. Wren is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubriana Tapia, who posted five points along with ten rebounds and four steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Rangely and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Intermountain Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Rangely will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mancos at 3:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Intermountain Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-31 win against Vanguard Academy on the 9th.
