Baseball Recap: Runge Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Runge can now relate to. They came up short against the Moulton Bobkatz on Wednesday, falling 20-10. The Yellowjackets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Jayden Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Evan Hernandez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Runge's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Moulton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

While Runge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
