Volleyball Recap: Cape Hatteras Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Cape Hatteras had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Ocracoke Dolphins by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hurricanes also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

In the three sets Cape Hatteras was on fire: they won each by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-8, 23-25, 25-11.

Taylor Hickman paced Cape Hatteras' offense, picking up 12 kills. Hickman got some help from Eryn Ratliff and her 31 assists. Reece Zombro controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Cape Hatteras' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Ocracoke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cape Hatteras will face off against rival Bear Grass Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ocracoke is set to take on their familiar foe Mattamuskeet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
