Volleyball Game Preview: Tempe Buffaloes vs. South Mountain Jaguars

The Tempe Buffaloes will take on the South Mountain Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Tempe is coming into the contest on a seven-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Tempe didn't have quite enough to beat Desert Sunrise and fell 3-2.

Tempe took Desert Sunrise into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 15-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-0.

South Mountain not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Cesar Chavez. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Champions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tempe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Mountain, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7.
