Casa Grande is 0-8 against Mountain View since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Cougars will face off against the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. Casa Grande is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Casa Grande's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Maricopa by a score of 5-0.

Not much got past MacKayla Wallace, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Maricopa off the board. Wallace has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Trinity Diaz was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Jourdyn Adsuara was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Casa Grande hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mountain View got the win against Vista Grande on Thursday by a conclusive 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Mountain Lions, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Arianna Figueroa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Figueroa was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, one run, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AAliyah Pereda, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mia Lynch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Casa Grande, their record now sits at 16-7.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Casa Grande hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .384. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Casa Grande came up short against Mountain View when the teams last played on April 7th, falling 7-4. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
