Perham took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Detroit Lakes, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Lakers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Perham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashytn Kunza, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ava Tobkin also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
