Baseball Game Preview: Lee Generals vs. Gate City Blue Devils

Lee is 2-8 against Gate City since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Generals will look to defend their home field against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, Lee didn't have quite enough to beat Letcher County Central and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Gate City came up short against John Battle on Friday and fell 5-2. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Hayden Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Gate City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Lee, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.
