Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Gilbert Classical Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Kellis on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1.

Nora Alarie paced Gilbert Classical Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Alarie got some help from Aspen Guymon and her 19 assists. Guymon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mackenzie Redford, racking up three apiece.

Gilbert Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Kellis, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Gilbert Classical Academy will be playing at home against Lincoln Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Lightning at the right time seeing as the Lightning are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kellis, they will take on Buckeye at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
