Volleyball Game Preview: Eastside Lions vs. Desert Scorpions

The Eastside Lions will challenge the Desert Scorpions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Eastside is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lancaster just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 13-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Desert beat Rosamond 3-1 two weeks ago. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Rosamond scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Desert, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-8.

Eastside took their victory against Desert in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
