Grace Academy snaps three-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Grace Academy vs. Texas Wind
Grace Academy were the 50-49 winner over Texas Wind when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Grace Academy fell 54-46 to Texas Wind on Tuesday.
Despite the defeat, Grace Academy saw an underclassman step up: Richmond McIver dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. McIver hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Caleb McGahey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Grace Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Texas Wind, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Providence Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Providence Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Grace Academy likes a good challenge. As for Texas Wind, they will head out on the road to take on Abbott at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Abbott will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
