Estancia came out on top against Pecos on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Bears took their matchup against the Panthers 7-3. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 19-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Christopher Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Hunter Corona was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joshua Villafuerte, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Estancia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Pecos, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Estancia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Thoreau on the 24th. As for Pecos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Santa Rosa on the 26th.
