Soccer Recap: South El Monte Victorious

After losing to Edgewood the last time they met, South El Monte decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Lions on Monday. Neri Alvarado had the honor of scoring the game-winner for South El Monte.

With the win, South El Monte broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-6-1. As for Edgewood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

South El Monte has already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Gabrielino on the 16th. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against South Hills on the 17th.
