East Laurens had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.4 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Dodge County Indians with a sharp 79-59 win. The score was close at the half, but the Falcons pulled away in the second half with 45 points.

East Laurens had a senior duo take command as Mckayela Tanner dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten assists and Jayla Givens went 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Givens has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Deanna Lowther was another key player, putting up six points along with ten boards and three steals.

Dodge County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lyric Green, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 19 rebounds, and Paige Ingram, who went 8 for 20 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most points Green has posted since back in February of 2024.

East Laurens' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Dodge County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

East Laurens has already played their next contest, a 56-46 defeat against Washington County on the 6th. As for Dodge County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-24 win against Jefferson County on the 5th.
