Basketball Recap: Petersburg's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Petersburg won the last time they faced Southland, and Saul Ruiz did his part to make sure it happened again. The Petersburg Buffaloes came out on top against the Southland Eagles by a score of 53-43 on Friday thanks in part to Ruiz, who posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high.

Petersburg's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Southland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Petersburg has already played their next game, an 88-37 defeat against Lorenzo on the 28th. As for Southland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-34 victory against Wilson on the 28th.
