Recap: North Park Wildcats vs. Rangely Panthers
Even though the North Park Wildcats have not done well against the Rangely Panthers recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. North Park enjoyed a cozy 56-39 victory over Rangely. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Park.
Gavin Pittington was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Jace Cornelison was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
North Park's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Rangely, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
North Park's homestand continues as they prepare to take on De Beque at 1:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Rangely, they will head out on the road to take on Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Hayden is ranked 248th, while Rangely is ranked 266th).
