Volleyball Recap: Carla Munoz and Reagan Butler Secure Win for St. John XXIII

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Episcopal, St. John XXIII was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the East Bernard Brahmas. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Brahmas recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: East Bernard scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-19.

St. John XXIII was led to victory by Reagan Butler and Carla Munoz. Butler had 14 digs and two assists, while Munoz had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Butler has posted since back in August.

St. John XXIII's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for East Bernard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John XXIII will venture away from home to take on Alief Elsik at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bernard, they will head out to challenge Shiner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
