East Poinsett County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Manila Lions with a sharp 19-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 12 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

East Poinsett County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Manila, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
