Soccer Recap: Sullivan County Takes a Loss

Sullivan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Montoursville Warriors. While losing is never fun, Sullivan County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Montoursville are ranked 53rd).

Sullivan County's goal came courtesy of Colin King, who's now up to four this season.

Sullivan County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Montoursville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Sullivan County will venture away from home to challenge Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sullivan County will be up against Jersey Shore's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.6 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montoursville, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Columbia will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Montoursville surely won't give up without a fight.
