Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mason). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eastern Quakers a 24-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Gerrit Koot made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Logan Davis was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kohlton Tyrrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Mason always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mason pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Eastern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
