Softball Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-3 to the False River Gators.

Phoenix's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for False River, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Coming up, Phoenix will play host again on Saturday to welcome Maurepas, where first pitch is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. The Wolves are coming into the matchup with four straight defeats on the road, meaning the Spartans will have to defend against a squad out to prove they can win away from home. As for False River, they will head out to face off against Holden at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
