Wilmington had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 42-18 margin over the Grant Park Dragons. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wilmington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keeley Walsh, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds. Sami Liaromatis was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight boards and six steals.

Wilmington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Wilmington and Grant Park will both be playing Reed-Custer the next time they take the court. The Dragons will head out to face the Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
